Terms and conditions
The plain version of how working together goes. Last updated October 22, 2026.
Who you are working with
Hive-Rise Web Design and Local SEO is the business name of Anne Another Thing LLC, an Arizona company based in Surprise, Arizona. "I" and "me" on this page mean Hive-Rise. "You" means the business or person who hires me.
Quotes come first
Every project starts with a written quote or proposal that says what is included. Package prices are for the standard build. Anything unusual gets quoted before work starts, never added to an invoice afterward. If you ask for something outside the quote, I tell you what it costs and wait for your okay before doing it.
Payments
- Website builds: half to start, half at launch, unless your proposal says otherwise. Larger builds (Industry Pro and apps) can be split into monthly installments when we agree on that in writing.
- Always On and Always On + SEO: billed monthly, in advance, at the rate in your proposal.
- Invoices are due when received unless the invoice says otherwise. If a payment is late, I may pause work until it is caught up. All prices are in US dollars.
Revisions and timing
Each package includes the rounds of revisions listed on the pricing page or in your proposal. Delivery times start once I have what I need from you: your content, photos, logins and answers. Quick replies keep things on schedule; if I am waiting on something, the timeline moves with it.
What you need to provide
- Accurate information about your business
- Content, photos and logos you have the right to use
- Access to the accounts the work needs, such as your domain, Google Business Profile or hosting
- Reasonably prompt answers when I have a question
Who owns the site
Once the project is paid in full, the site I build for you is yours. You are free to take the files and host them anywhere. I may show the finished work in my portfolio unless you ask me not to. Tools, code patterns and know-how I bring to every project stay mine to reuse, and any third-party software, fonts or services stay under their own licenses.
Always On
Always On is optional, never a requirement. You can stop it at any time by telling me; it runs through the month you have already paid for. If you stop, I help you move your site and accounts wherever you want them. Always On + SEO includes everything in Always On on one invoice.
Results
I do the work carefully and show you the numbers, but nobody honest can promise a ranking, a placement in Google's map, or a mention by an AI assistant, and I do not. What I promise is the work in your proposal and a straight answer about how it is going.
Cancelling a project
If you need to stop a project before work begins, the deposit is refunded in full. If you stop partway through, you pay for the work done up to that point, and you get everything completed so far.
Confidentiality
Anything you share about your business stays between us. I do not share it with anyone without your permission, except where the law requires it. How the website itself handles visitor information is on the privacy page.
Liability
My total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid for the specific project or service involved. I am not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, or for problems caused by third-party services like hosting providers, Google or payment processors. You are responsible for reviewing what I deliver and making sure it fits your business, including any legal or industry requirements that apply to you.
If something goes wrong
Call me first. Most things get solved in one conversation. If we cannot work it out, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and any dispute will be handled in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Changes to these terms
If I update these terms, the new date goes at the top of this page and current clients hear about it by email at least 30 days ahead. Projects already underway finish under the terms they started with.
